Aging is more than topical.
Skin, hair, collagen, cellular energy, hormones, and recovery all influence how you look and feel over time.
The topical creams, serums, and treatments work — partially. They address the surface. What they don't address is the underlying biology: collagen production, hormonal regulation of skin and hair, cellular energy, and the systemic factors that determine how your skin and hair look and feel over time.

Quick take
Skin, hair, collagen, cellular energy, hormones, and recovery all influence how you look and feel over time.
Revi focuses on the internal factors that topical treatments do not address.
Your plan depends on labs, goals, history, and what is actually changing for you.
At Revi in Lincoln, we focus on the systemic layer underneath skin, hair, and aging concerns. Topical treatments may address the outside; our role is to look at hormones, cellular energy, nutrition, sleep, and the internal factors that influence visible change.
A few biological patterns explain most of the changes patients notice:
Hormonal shifts. Estrogen and progesterone in women, testosterone in everyone, and thyroid in both — these hormones directly influence skin thickness, elasticity, oil production, and hair growth cycles. As they shift in your 40s and beyond, skin and hair shift with them.
Collagen and connective tissue decline. Collagen production decreases steadily after your 30s. Skin thinning, loss of firmness, and slower wound healing all trace back to this.
Cellular energy decline. Mitochondrial function — the cellular energy your skin and hair depend on for repair and turnover — declines with age. This shows up as slower healing, dullness, and longer recovery from any kind of skin stress.
Growth hormone decline. GH influences tissue maintenance across the body, including skin and hair. The decline that affects sleep and recovery also affects skin quality.
Labs help us identify which factors matter most for you specifically.
Depending on what your labs show, treatment may include:
Bioidentical Hormone Therapy (BHRT). When skin and hair changes track with hormonal shifts, addressing the foundational hormones often improves skin quality, hair density, and overall vitality. Learn more about Hormone Therapy →
Cellular energy and longevity support. NAD+ is commonly used to support mitochondrial function, cellular energy, and the cellular-level inputs of healthy aging.
Skin, hair, and metabolic support. Your provider may address hormone patterns, thyroid function, nutrition, inflammation, sleep, and metabolic health depending on what your labs and history show.
The specific plan is determined during your provider visit based on your labs and goals.
Patterns worth a conversation:
Skin and hair changes are gradual. Hormone-related and metabolic improvements often show up over 8-12 weeks, while visible skin and hair changes can take longer because renewal cycles are slow.
